20th March 2026
Dear Parents and Carers
With one week until we break up for Easter, I wanted to thank all the staff for their dedication and commitment to the children; each day I see them going above and beyond to support the children achieve their full potential. Well done to all the children for their hard work and enjoyment of school.
Miss Clark
Head teacher

Staff Changes
At the end of this term, Mrs Kelly will be leaving us to pursue a new career. We wish her well in the future and thank her for the contribution she has made to the school over the last 7 years. We will also be welcoming back from maternity leave Miss Dawson. She and Mrs Biddlecombe will teach St Therese class for the remainder of this academic year.
We also welcome to our Teaching Support Team Miss Wall and Miss Nlundulu
Faith in Action Easter Egg Raffle: The Faith in Action children will be selling raffle tickets from their Easter Egg Raffle with all money raised going to Mary's Meals. Each raffle ticket will be 20p each and children can buy them by bringing in money or donating via ARBOR.
Lent Charity Appeal: So far, the donations online for the Sponsored Fit Challenge are totalled to £116.
All children will be participating in the sponsored event during PE sessions next week.
Easter Holiday Challenge - Join our Easter Bonnet Parade! We are looking forward to our Easter Bonnet Parade on Wednesday 15th April - over the holidays, please make a eggcellent Easter Bonnet.
Mini Vinnie’s Request: The Mini Vinnies would like donations of small flowerpots to prepare for a plant sale they are organising for Easter.
School Uniform donations: We are also looking for spare clothing to keep on hand for little accidents. Particularly if you have any spare black joggers or leggings, they’d be greatly appreciated!
Lost Property: We have a large array of lost property. We will have this available to view during Parents Evening. Please can you check this if you are missing any uniform/packed lunches/accessories. This will be disposed of at the end of the term.
What do you see? What could it be and why do you think that?
Last week:

WHAT IS THIS? Is it natural or man-made?

ARBOR APP - Please can I ask all parents to check their child's information on the ARBOR APP. If you received a new mobile or have moved recently, please update the contact details and ensure all the information on your child's record is correct. We are particularly keen for parents to check the religion status for their child as we believe there are a number of children recorded as Christian and not specifically as Catholic.
SMART Devices - I am writing to remind you that for the safeguarding of all members of our school community, children are not permitted to wear smart technology devices into school. This includes items such as smart watches. Children are permitted to wear a basic digital or analogue watch, but this must not have any photographic or communicative functions and should not be valuable. If you are not sure whether a watch is suitable for school, please speak to the class teacher.
Benefitted Related Free School Meals - As you may be aware, families on certain benefits may be entitled to what is known as the Pupil Premium Grant - this is an amount of money, about £1300, that the school receives to support children in school. Where a family is entitled to the pupil premium grant, we offer subsidies for trips and some activities. However, families are also entitled to free holiday activities and a supermarket voucher during some holidays. If you have not checked whether you are entitled please do so before the end of September by clicking on this link Synergy - Enquiry Please do speak to Mrs Penney in the office if you need any help.

PE Days - Children should come dressed in their PE kits - green t-shirt and black shorts or black or green track suit and trainers. Track suits must be plain with no logos.

If children are taking part in any after school sports clubs on days that aren't their PE days they should bring trainers with them to school and change at the end of the day.
